Tony was an entrepreneur in Johnstown, whose endeavors included Hi-Ho Auto Sales, Nino's Take-Out, the Office Lounge, the Factory Discotheque, College Park Plaza, and dozens of real estate ventures. He was a life-long jazz enthusiast, and for 31 years he was a dedicated friend of Bill W. He devotedly counseled and mentored many.
The most important thing in the world to Tony was the love he had for his wife, children, grandchildren and family. As his grandson Nicco said, "The world today lost its greatest philosopher, husband, father, and grandfather, who touched so many lives that it'd take me eons to count them all. Rest in peace, Anthony Shorto, forever the patriarch of the Shorto clan." He will be terribly missed by his wife and family.
