Elizabeth J. Marino

Elizabeth J. Marino, 89, of Johnstown, died at home surrounded by her loving family on August 11, 2019. Born November 9, 1929 in Emeigh, PA, daughter of Metro and Mary Ann (Bucha) Phillips.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Anthony Marino, great grandson Allizaire Lockwood, great granddaughter Kaylee Lavely, sisters Helen Kochensky and Ann Phillips, brother Michael Phillips, and son in law Harry Lavely.

Survived by loving children Josephine Ann wife of John Campagna, Karen Lea Lavely, Marianne Marino, and Charles Anthony Marino (Kathi), grandchildren Nichole Bieber (Andrew), Anthony Campagna (Amanda), Greta Lavely, Kathryn Wills (Michael), Susan Lavely, Stephen Marino and Ian Marino, 11 great grandchildren, brothers and sisters Margaret LeGars, Mary Gallagher, Agnes Boring, Steven Phillips, Catherine Woods, and Nancy Higgins.

Elizabeth loved cooking for her family, gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Elizabeth was very close to God and was a longtime member of the former Our Lady of Mercy and a member of St. John Gualbert Cathedral. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Family and friends will be received from 1-3 PM and 5-7 PM on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at the Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905. Funeral Mass will be held 9:00 AM Thursday, August 15, 2019 at St. John Gualbert Cathedral, Very Rev. James F. Crookston. Entombment, Grandview Mausoleum.
