Larry Gianotti Obituary

Larry M. Gianotti, 79, of Johnstown, died May 24, 2019. He was born December 2, 1939 in Scranton, PA, the son of Julia (Marabella) and Nicola Gianotti.

Above all else Larry was the devoted husband of Joan (Visosky) Gianotti, who survives him, ending their marriage of 52 years.

He is remembered as a proud and loving father to his children: Juliann (Gianotti) Zimmer and her husband Mark; Larry N. Gianotti; and Marie R. Gianotti. He was PaPa to cherished grandchildren: Nicole E. and Alexander D. Zimmer.

He treasured his sisters: Antonette (Gianotti) Stumpo and her husband Tony; and Rose (Gianotti) Poole and her husband Bob; and all of their children and grandchildren; Also survived by his brother-in-law Gary Visosky and wife Linda, and sister-in-law Fay (Visosky) Grizzle.

Larry was always helping those around him with kindness and compassion. He had a big heart and he spent himself working at multiple jobs over the years in the care and love of his family. He retired finally from the maintenance crew at Yellow Creek State Park. He was a U.S. Army veteran. The family will miss that ready smile and special sense of humor.

At Larry's request there will be no viewing.
