Lillian L. (Audi) Azar, 90, of Johnstown, died September 20, 2019 at The Villa surrounded by her loving children and their spouses.
Born October 9, 1928 in Johnstown, daughter of Abraham and Frieda (Daley) Audi. Preceded in death by her parents and loving husband Mitchell, who died February 5, 2018. Also preceded by siblings William (Rose), James, Julia Mack (Edward), Sam, Edward, Victoria Corry (Rt. Rev. Fr. George) and Robert.
Also preceded in death by Goddaughter Dawn (Audi) Racke.
Survived by children MaryEllen wife of Robert Kramer; Michele wife of James Donnelly; Mitchell married to Rebecca (Regan); grandchildren Hannah, wife of Preston Hewgley, Kasey Azar, Katherine Donnelly, Tyler Azar. Also survived by sister-in-law Diane Audi and numerous nieces, nephews and Godchildren.
Lillian was a 1946 graduate of Johnstown High School and 1951 graduate of University of Pittsburgh with a degree in nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse for Community Nursing and the Johnstown School District.
She was a member of St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church where she sang in the choir and was a member of SOYO and the Ladies Society.
Lillian was known for her famous nut rolls, chocolate cake, and Lebanese cooking.
Friends received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday September 23, 2019 at the Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Trisagion Prayers of Mercy will be sung at 7 PM.
Trisagion Prayers of Mercy will be sung at 10 AM Tuesday September 24, 2019 at the Funeral Home with Funeral Service to follow at St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, 111 Alberta Ave. Very Rev. Fr. Donald E. Shadid and Rev. Fr. Christopher Shadid. Entombment, Grandview Mausoleum.
