Marion Sophia "Gram" Landeros, age 97, of Davenport Florida, formerly of Southmont, died June 3, 2019, in Winter Haven, Florida. Born November 13, 1921 in Philadelphia, daughter of Andrew and Anna (Duffy) Oetzel.

Preceded in death by parents; husband, Henry Jr. (Chef) who died November 9, 1991. They met while both serving in the United States Navy. Also preceded in death by sisters, Anna Umholtz and Gertrude Powers; brother’s Andrew and Harry.

Survived by children, Marion E. married to William Carthew, Florida; Henry A. married to the former Rochelle Nyanko, New Mexico; Richard E., Florida and Lori married to Michael Huska, Johnstown; grandchildren Christopher (Josephine) and Jason (Georgianna) Landeros; Melissa (Erich) Krueck; Jonathan Huska and Kristie (Andrew) Byer. Great grandchildren, Stephanie, Joshua, Kayla, Austin, Gianna, Josiah, and Juliana Sophia Landeros; Lexi Sophia and Brody Byer. Great-great-grandchildren Chloe and Cassiel Trevino. Brother-in-law, Ernest Landeros. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Last surviving member of her immediate family.

Marion worked in the food industry the majority of her life. She was a hostess at the former Fort Stanwix Hotel, Golden Key and Monte Carlo. She and her husband were past owners of Reels Corner Restaurant. She was instrumental in forming the Johnstown DAV Chapter.

She was an avid traveler and made a multitude of friends along the way. She enjoyed the Steelers and Bingo. She was dedicated to her family and reminded us that if we have our health we have everything. She loved all and was loved by all.

World War II Navy veteran. Member of D.A.V.A. Chapter II, Gold Circle VFW, and the Women of the Sea Services National Waves.

Member of Visitation B.V.M. Catholic Church where friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 12, 2019. Rev. John J. Slovikovski. Private viewing at the request of Marion. Interment Grandview Cemetery with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army or a charity of your choice in her memory.
