Adam David Schrott, 42, formerly of Johnstown, died on October 9, 2020 in Honolulu Hawaii, where he always proclaimed, "another beautiful day in paradise". Born October 29, 1977 in Johnstown, son of Richard and Patricia (Pappas) Schrott. Preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, and uncle Jim Pappas. Survived by his parents, brothers, Aaron (Ellie), of San Antonio TX and Aric, of Johnstown; niece, Sadie and nephews, Skogen and Austin; aunts, Jane Crocco, of Johnstown and Sally Pappas, of Parker CO; uncles, David Pappas (Cindi), of WA and Jim Schrott (Cristy), of Mars, PA. Also survived by cousins and many loving friends.
He graduated from Westmont Hilltop High School in 1996 and attended Pennsylvania Highlands Community College. A man of many talents during his career, he was a carpenter, set designer, bartender, waiter, cook, welder, and salesperson. Adam, had a personality that was magnetic to everyone he met. A caring and compassionate man who genuinely loved all his friends and family. He was an outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed hiking and biking the mountains and trails in Western PA and the islands in Hawaii. When not on land, he was on his paddle board or surfing off Waikiki, getting more sun than he should. Adam was a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers. He was always up at 7 AM Sunday morning in Honolulu to watch those Steelers play during football season. A multi-talented man with a big heart for everyone he knew and loved his Labradors Nestle and Mazie.
