Jeanne A. Norris

Jeanne A. Norris, 62, of Westmont, died on May 21, 2023, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born on August 13, 1960, in Johnstown, daughter of Stanley "Piney" and Clara (Verna) Lasky. 

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard "Trick" Norris, brother Andrew Lasky, and sister Kathy Lasky. Survived by loving son Matthew Norris, of Pittsburgh, brothers Stanley Jr., of NC, and Michael (Lisa), of TX, sister-in-law Katie Lasky, of FL, and many nieces and nephews. 

Jeanne attended Penn State and earned a degree from Youngstown State University. Known as Jean Anne or Jeannie, she was born in the sixties, and the free spirit that decade generated in people was somehow part of her DNA that she never lost. She was so carefree and loved all things starting with God and her wonderful Matthew, but close behind was Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead. She had a passion for parties with friends and family, making jewelry, and pulling for the Nittany Lions football team, as well as a never-ending love for animals she inherited from her beloved father. As much as she loved, she was also tough, taking on a bad hand dealt at an early age with Crohn’s disease, and fighting till her last day. Now her time to rest has come, where the Good Lord will provide her a place in heaven she so deserves. She will now be able to reunite with the family she missed so much and Jerry Garcia!

Friends and family will be received from 5-8 PM on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905. Funeral Service will be held Friday at 11 AM at the Funeral Home, Pastor Rob Rummel, with entombment to follow at Grandview Mausoleum. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cambria County Humane Society, 743 Galleria Drive Ext. Johnstown PA 15904 in memory of Jeanne.
