Lillian "Honey" A. Shahade

Lillian "Honey" A. Shahade, 91, of Johnstown, died on May 30, 2023 at Laurel View Village. Born on August 17, 1931 in Windber, daughter of William and Ann (Mckool) Hamilton.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband William Shahade, brother Robert "Bones" Hamilton, and sisters Jennie "Sis" Isbeque and Mary Jane Herrick.

Survived by children Dr. George Shahade married to Brooke, of Portsmith OH; Fred Shahade, of Johnstown; and Anna Marie wife of Stephen Keiser, of Philadelphia, granddaughter Alexandria Shahade. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Lillian graduated from Windber High School in 1949 and Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1955. She loved cooking Lebanese food for her family, gardening, and traveling to the Chesapeake Bay with her daughter.

She was a longtime member of Our Mother of Sorrows where friends and family will meet for a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 5, 2023. Very Rev. Mark Begly.

Friends received from 5-7 PM on Sunday at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Vincent De Paul Society, 945 Franklin Street, Johnstown PA 15905 in memory of Lillian.
