Marcia A. Guzzi, 84, of Menoher Heights, died on January 18, 2023. Born on February 16, 1938 in Johnstown, daughter of Otto and Vera (Yasika) Respet.
Preceded in death by her parents and husband Louis A. Guzzi.
Survived by children Louis "Mickey" Guzzi, of Florida, Anthony "Tony" J., and his wife Michelle (Garner), of Connecticut, and Lisa, wife of Shane Downey, of Southmont; grandchildren Nick, Gina, Shane Michael, Megan, Katie, John, Ann Marie, and Louis; great-grandchildren Carson, Haddie, Jordan, and Teagan. Also survived by sisters Patricia Kimball (Phillip) and Gloria Jean Banks (Gary), and daughter-in-law Lynn (Munzer) Guzzi.
Marcia was a 1955 graduate of Johnstown Catholic High School and a 1957 graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. She retired as a nurse from Mercy Hospital and was involved in many local organizations. She was on the Cambria County Children and Youth Advisory Board, a past Mercy Hospital Guild member and a past member of the Cambria County Arts Center. She was a co-founder, alongside her husband, of Dynamic Design Engineering. She loved to cook for her family and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be sadly missed. She will be forever known as the "dancing queen" to her family and friends.
Friends will be received from 3-7 PM on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church. Very Rev. Mark Begly. Entombment, Grandview Mausoleum.
