Margaret (Margie) A. (Makoczy) Toth

Margaret (Margie) A. (Makoczy) Toth, 83, of Westwood, formerly of Windber, died on November 20, 2020 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.

She was born on January 23, 1937 in Windber, daughter of Michael and Margaret (Rakoczy) Makoczy.

Margie is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Michael R. Toth, and brother Frank Makoczy.

She is survived by her loving sons, Michael J. Toth, married to Christine (Whitcomb), Matthew B. Toth, and Mark C. Toth; grandchildren, Mandolyn (Alex Barni), Christian, Michaela, Gabriel, Melanie, and Graciella Toth; great grandchild Gemma Barni; sisters-in-laws, Angie Makoczy and Elaine (Gerard Tomechak); and brother-in-law Donald Toth (Barbara). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Margie was a longtime member of Our Mother of Sorrows Parish, where she was a faithful member and very active in parish life. She also worked for many years at Johnstown Bank & Trust, Westwood Branch, now First National Bank. Margie was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed raising her family, spending time with friends, celebrating her Hungarian heritage, and taking care of her dog Maggie.

Friends and family will be received from 5-7 PM on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Funeral Mass will be held at 9:45 AM on Wednesday at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church. Very Rev. Mark S. Begly. Entombment, Grandview Mausoleum. Facial Masks and social distancing required at funeral home and mass.
