Mary H. Wentz

Mary H. Wentz, 85, of Johnstown, died on May 26, 2023. Born on November 23, 1937 in Johnstown, daughter of Michaelangelo and Marianna (Scaletta) Mauro.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Ronald, brother Joseph, Sister-in-law Lucille (Kush) Mauro, sister-in-law Clara (Sloan) Mauro, brother-in-law Leonard Arena, and nephew Christopher Mauro.

Survived by brother Philip Mauro and sister Josephine Arena, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Mary was a graduate of Conemaugh Hospital School of Nursing and retired after 25 years from Bethlehem Steel Medical Department. She also taught swimming lessons to children at the YMCA.

She was a life member of St. Clare of Assisi Church, formerly St. Anthony, where Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Fr. George Gulash.

Friends received from 5-7 PM on Tuesday at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905. Interment, St. Anthony Cemetery.
