Bernard R. LaBuda, 86 of Lower Yoder, went to be with the Lord on October 25, 2019 in Johnstown, PA, Born January 14, 1933 in Johnstown.
Son of John and Veronica (Kulbak) LaBuda. Preceded in death by his parents, Brothers August,William,Robert,John,Edward, and Vincent, sisters Anna, Margaret, and Frances.
Survived by loving wife Martha Ann (McGilvery), daughter Rebecca LaBuda of Virginia, and son David LaBuda married to Janice Blough-LaBuda of Maryland, granddaughters Annasophia and Sara, sister Delores married to Paul Gresik, special nephew Vincent, sisters-in-law Connie,Georgetta, and Dorothy, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bernard was a 1952 graduate of Johnstown High School. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict as a Staff Sergeant. He was formerly employed at Bethlehem Steel and retired from United Metals. He loved fishing and spending time with his family. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, brother and grandfather.
He was a longtime member, gardner, usher, and Eucharistic Minister at St. Francis of Assisi Church, where Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday October 30, 2019 at 10 AM, Franciscan Friars OFM.
Friends received Tuesday from 2-4 and 5-7 PM at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Interment St. Francis Cemetery.
