Betty R Gnagey

Betty R. Gnagey, 86, of Westmont, went to be with the Lord on March 20, 2019.  Born July 19, 1932 in State College, daughter of Charles and Grace (Blanton) Reesman.

Preceded in death by her parents, brother James R. Reesman, and sister Virginia Collette.

Survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Donald; son Michael married to Wendy (Warshel); daughters Cynthia Watkins and Kathleen wife of Dr. William Carney; grandchildren, Matthew (Cara), Michael (Hannah), Jill (Matthew Pulford), and Chris Gnagey, Katlyn (Dan Golias), Donald Watkins (Shea), Brittany (Chris Campagna), Bradley (Kaitlyn), and Bethany Carney; great-grandchildren Wyatt Gnagey and Ramsay Watkins.

Betty was a 1950 graduate of Somerset High School and attended Gettysburg College. She also graduated from Grace Downs Air Career School in New York City, and then was employed at Eastern Airlines. For the past 65 years, Betty was a co-owner at Westmont Rexall, where she worked beside her loving husband for over 60 years. Betty was a founding member of Indian Lake Golf Club.  She enjoyed spending time at Indian Lake with her family.  She was also an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan and was a longtime member of Westmont Church of the Brethren.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be sadly missed and never forgotten.

Friends received from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Hamilton. Private Entombment, Grandview Mausoleum.
