Beverly M. Bender

Beverly M. Bender, 69, of Richland, died on November 29, 2019 at her home. Born May 18, 1950 in Johnstown, daughter of Cal Miller and Catherine (Konkol) Ickes. Also adored by her step-father Robert Ickes.

Preceded in death by her parents, step-father, cousin- Janice Nardecchia, and great friend - Pam Favatella. 

Survived by loving children Bradley Buterbaugh, of Johnstown; Justin Bender married to Rebecca (Stoner), of Johnstown; and Aly Bender-Murgas wife of David, of Johnstown; sister Donna Stokrp wife of David, of Chambersburg. She is also survived by two expected grandchildren, that she was so excited to meet, and her 3 adorable dogs Jaxson, Crosby, and Lacey. 

Bev (“Mo”) was a 1968 graduate of Greater Johnstown High School, where she was a proud majorette. She was formerly employed at UMWA Funds, Anderson Wonders Insurance Agency, and most recently was a Program Director at ACRP. Aside from being an avid sports fan, her greatest joy was spending time with her family, friends, and beloved rescue dogs. Bev was a loving and devoted mother, sister, soon to be grandmother and friend to all. She will be sadly missed. 

At request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing. A Celebration of Her Life will be held at a later date.
