Carol P. Meek

Carol P. Meek, 90, died Nov 12, 2019, at Arbutus Park Manor. Born March 12, 1929 in Winber, daughter of the late Robert G. and Muriel Pfahler. Preceded in death by husband of 64 years, Orrin L. Meek. Also preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Miller. Survived by siblings, Ann Comer and Barbara Muschlitz.

Survived by children, Sara, wife of Larry Yost, Colorado; Carol "Lyn," Johnstown; Dottie Parker, Latrobe; and Mark "Ted," married to Terri (Williams), Johnstown; grandchildren, Mark Timothy, Mark Kristopher (Jocelyn),  Ashley Gilbert and husband Ryan, Garrett and Jordan; and great-grandchildren Mark, Jacob, Brinley and two more on the way. Carol was the kind of mother who always said what she thought; she was usually right, and we loved her for it. She will be deeply missed.

Carol was a Registered Nurse. She attended Mount Aloysius College. She served as the  Director of Nursing at Arbutus Park Manor until she retired. Years later she returned to the Manor, where she lived out the rest of her years with her former work family, and her own family nearby.

The family thanks Arbutus Park Manor staff, especially Crossroads for their extraordinary care of Carol.

At her request there will be no viewing or service. Committal will be held at the family's convenience.
