Elizabeth Ann Virus

Elizabeth Ann Virus, 92, of Lower Yoder, went to be with the Lord May 27, 2019 at the Villa Personal Care Home. She was born February 9, 1927 in Johnstown; the daughter of John and Suzanne (Kolsun) Zahoranski.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stephen Virus (1994), infant son; daughter, Nancy Tomaro; brothers, Wilford Zahoranski and Herbert Hill; and sister, Rita Bombatch.

Survived by her son, Mark Virus, married to Pam (Lizambri); grandchildren, Allison and Michael Virus, Natalie and Andrea Tomaro; son-in-law, Michael Tomaro; sister-in-law, Veronica (Virus) Fecko; also several nieces and nephews, including her special nephew, David Bombatch.

Elizabeth was a graduate of University of Pittsburgh where she received a Bachelors in Medical Technology.  She was in a pinochle club for over 65 years, enjoyed the symphony, shopping, watching the Pirates and Steelers, and her "McDonald's gang". She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be sadly missed.

Friends received from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM on Friday, May 31, 2019 at the Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 1:00 PM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 120 Barron Ave, Johnstown PA 15906, Fr. Anthony Francis Spilka, OFM Conv. Private family interment at Grandview Cemetery.
