John "Jack" Wesley Drummer

John "Jack" Wesley Drummer, 81, of Johnstown, passed away with his loving family by his side on July 10, 2019 at home. Born September 23, 1937, in Johnstown, son of the late James R. and Dorothy H. (Reighard).

Survived by loving wife of 60 years Mary Alice (McGowan); daughter, Kimberly (James) Marziani of Palos Verdes Peninsula, CA and son, Russ of Manassas, VA.  

Jack was a 1956 graduate of Johnstown High School.  He retired after 40 years from GTE where he was employed as an installer, business tech and in other positions. He also served as a Union Representative and a proud member of IBEW 1635.

Jack loved the outdoors and fishing especially with his son.  He loved trips to the Shenandoah River with his family. He was a passionate Steelers Team fan, especially when they were winning.  He also enjoyed bowling with the GTE league I.B.E.W. (I Bowl Every Week), gardening & yard work, watching hummingbirds from his deck, and working on many home improvement projects.  He was a wonderful husband and father and will stay in our hearts forever.

Special thanks to Dr. Ibrahim Sbeitan of Conemaugh Cancer Care, he and his staff cared for Jack for thirteen years and Dr. Shriram Sirsikar and staff of Conemaugh Physicians Group Internal Medicine.  Their offices were very dedicated to his health and very kind to him and our family.
