Kathleen Marie Spramelli

Kathleen Marie Spramelli, age 76, passed away on August 10, 2019 in Balboa Park, while attending an event with a friend, Christine Rogers. Born in Johnstown on June 23, 1943, daughter of the late James and Angeline (Albert) Spramelli.

Survived by brother Frank married to Gladys, niece Gina Marie (Troy Bruce), great nephews Collin and Liam Bruce, and niece Susan Adams.

Kathleen was a graduate from Greater Johnstown High School, Class of 1961. She worked at Bell Telephone in Johnstown PA then spent several years working for JC Penny and traveling across the country. She stopped in San Diego, where she had several friends from Johnstown, and fell in love with San Diego and never left. She worked for Pacific Bell until she retired. Kathleen back packed across Europe twice in her lifetime with friends, volunteered at the animal shelter, local Museum, blind association, and ushered at the San Diego Stadium. She was a Charger Fan and a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She had many different interests. She enjoyed PBS and similar type programming.  Kathleen was a good daughter, sister, friend, and confidant who was funny, liked a good joke, and was delighted to experience different things with friends.  She was loved by many of her adopted San Diego family and friends. She will be sadly missed.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 9:30 AM at the Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905, Rev. Bernard Karmonocky, O.F.M.  Inurnment, Grandview Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to San Diego Humane Society, 5500 Gaines Street, San Diego CA 32110 in Memory of Kathy.
