Leroy William "Bud" Moran

Leroy William "Bud" Moran, 85, of Westmont, died on May 6, 2019 at Westmont Woods. Born August 9, 1933 in Johnstown, son of Leroy William and Eleanor Grace (Melley) Moran.

Preceded in death by parents, and wife Mary Ann (Buckman).

Survived by children LeAnn  Kathleen wife of David Baumer, Leroy William III married to Jackie (Tarquino), Shawnn Lee Grace wife of Senior Master Sergeant Otis Dicerbo, Lance Lee Patrick married to Kathleen Harrington, Brace Lee Michael married to Leslie (Geyer), and Terrence Lee Timothy married to Kristie (Wasiulewski); grandchildren Erin Dicerbo (Lt. Dan Nama), Brady Moran, Liam Moran, Connor Moran, Ryan Moran, Lauren Moran, Ian Baumer, Brennan Moran, Owen Moran, Tanner Baumer, Hailey Moran, and Kurt Weidlein.

Bud was a 1951 graduate of Greater Johnstown High School and received a Bachelors from the University of Pittsburgh in Psychology. He worked for Beechem Massingill as a Pharmaceutical Representative and then worked as a salesman for Christian Brothers and National Distillers. He was a tax collector for Westmont Borough for 2 terms and also was a substitute teacher for local schools.  He was a life member of BPOE Lodge 175, a member of Harmony Singing Society, Croatian Hall, and Friendly Sons of St. Pats. He served on Westmont Boro Council and the Recreation Commission. Bud was also Vice President of West Suburban Little League. He was the founder and host of  the annual Bud Moran Fall Classic Golf Tournament. Bud was a veteran of the US Army. 

He was a loving son, father, and grandfather who will be sadly missed.

Friends received from 1-7 PM on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, May 10, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Our Mother of Sorrows. Very Rev. Mark S. Begly.

Interment, Grandview Cemetery where a Military Ritual will be conducted by VFW Menoher Post 155.
