Mary Lou Smith

Mary Lou Smith, 84, of Johnstown, died on August 14, 2019 at UPMC Mercy Hospital. Born April 30, 1935 in Johnstown, daughter of John and Marcelean (Clemenson) Seitz.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Harry D., of 61 years ,who passed in 2017, and sister-in-law Patricia Seitz.

Survived by loving children Marcia, wife of Lester Werner of Spring Grove, Lisa Smith of Johnstown, and David Smith of Johnstown, grandson Codie Eash (Mary), brothers James Seitz and Jerry Seitz (Sandy), sister Sharene Gray (Charles), longtime friends Jean Kohan, Barbara and Phil Boltz, and also loving nieces and nephews.

Mary Lou was a 1953 graduate of Johnstown Catholic High School. She loved reading, word puzzles, and traveling. Mary Lou was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who will be sadly missed.

Friends received from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the Frank Duca Funeral Home, East Hills Chapel and Crematory, 404 Walters Ave. (Near Armory and PA Drivers Center).  Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 AM at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David Peles. Entombment, Grandview Mausoleum.
