Michael Berardi

Michael Berardi, age 82, of Johnstown, died on October 28, 2019 at The Atrium.

Born November 24, 1936 in Johnstown, son of Michael and Antoinette (Altimore) Berardi. Son of Italian immigrants, Michael was one of seven children. Raised in Hornerstown, he married his childhood sweetheart, Frances (Siciliano) with whom he shared his life for more than sixty years. A dedicated husband and father, Michael believed that nothing was more important than family. He lived for his wife and children. A kind, quiet and strong man, Michael’s warmth and generosity will be remembered by many.

He is survived by his son Michael III (Adrienne), daughters; Gina Matcho (Chris), Dr. Linda Demo (John) and Vicki Leone (Joel). Michael was blessed with grandchildren, Anthony and Dominic Berardi, Adam, Christopher and Jeremy Matcho, Halley (Matcho) Nagy, Michelangelo and Isabella Demo and Matthew Johnson, Emily (Johnson) Mork and Rebecca Johnson. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren, dog Ozzie and 2 sisters, Teresa Krentz and Betty Petro.

Friends received from 4-7 PM Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday at St. Patrick’s Church, Father Walter Moll. Entombment, Richland Mausoleum.
