Survived by brothers Dr. Geswaldo "Joe" Verrone married to Andree, MD, and Dr. Anthony Verrone, NY, as well as nephews Tim Pfister, Eric Pfister and Mark Verrone, and nieces Carol Dzuricky, Sona Davis and Lisa Bonanno.
Minnie was a graduate of Johnstown High School and for many years was the payroll clerk at the Troy Laundry in Morrellville. Both she and Chuck were avid golfers and members of Sunnehanna Country Club where Minnie enjoyed golfing in the ladies' groups as well as bowling with them in the off-season. She was also a member of the BPOE Elks Lodge 175 Auxiliary and bowled with their ladies league with her sisters Jean and Corie. Anyone who knew Minnie knew she was quite "competitive"! Additionally, she was a member of the Conemaugh Memorial Hospital Ladies Guild and serves a term as president. Minnie and her family were proud that she was a breast cancer survivor of over 50 years.
Minnie was a wonderful cook and for many years hosted Thanksgiving dinner and the Christmas Eve soirée for family and friends. She was the best cookie baker and her Christmas cookie variety was superb! No one ever left her home hungry or without a doggie bag of food or goodies.
Although Minnie could be a character she deeply loved her family and was always generous with her siblings and nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Linda Grados who helped Minnie, providing her assistance and most importantly, friendship over the past few years.
We will love you and miss you always but are comforted knowing you are reunited with Chuck, your parents, siblings and our Heavenly Father. Rest well dear sister and aunt.
