Shawn Z. McDowell, 38, of Johnstown, died suddenly on March 6, 2019 at home. Born March 4, 1981 in Pittsburgh, son of James T. McDowell, Jr. and Marsha P. (Segars) McDowell.
Preceded in death by maternal grandparents Wilmer and Maggie Segars and paternal grandfather James T. McDowell Sr.
Survived by his mother and father, sister Mellanie M. McDowell, children Zachary R. McDowell and Dakota J. McDowell, his beloved aunt, Carol V. Francois and numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Shawn was a graduate of Greater Johnstown High School. He loved to listen to music and enjoyed sports. He was an avid Steelers fan. He will be sadly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 6, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905.
