Albert Simanski Obituary

Albert A. "Moose" Simanski, 83 of Upper Yoder, passed away suddenly December 29, 2022 in Greensburg, PA. Born Monday May 1, 1939 in Johnstown, PA. He was the son of Emil F. Simanski Sr. and Avanell E. (Penrod).

Preceded in death by his parents, 6 pre-mature infants, brothers Emil Jr., and  Ralph, sister Esther and brother-in-law Ray Karashin,  mother-in-law and father-in-law Harvey and Helen Partsch, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Helen and Kenneth Leap, brothers in law Richard  Louis Partsch and Harvey John Partsch, sister in law Leora Jean Simanski, and sister in law Marlene Simanski.

Survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Barbara (Partsch), son Robert L. Simanski of Mt. Pleasant, brother Raymond Simanski of Salix, sister-in-law Evelyn Mae Simanski of New Jersey, sister-in-law Agnes married to Bill Wyandt, and sister in law Carol Partsch, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. Also, fur baby grand kittens, and baby kitten Louise.

Albert graduated from Westmont Hilltop High School in 1961. He retired from Upper Yoder Township Municipal Authority as head truck driver for 35 years.

He was a life member of Upper Yoder Township Volunteer Fire Department, and life member of the Cambria County Volunteer Fireman's Association. He enjoyed spending time with his fellow firefighters and listening to his emergency scanner.

He also loved camping and fishing for over 30 years at Friendship Village in  Bedford, traveling with his wife on bus trips, and going to Johnstown Chiefs games. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

Friends received from 2-5 PM on Tuesday January 3, 2023 at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. 15905. There will be a celebration of his life at 4 PM. A private inurnment will be held at Richland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers Albert requests donations be made to the Upper Yoder Volunteer Fire Department, 320 Warren Street Johnstown PA 15905, or St. Clement Catholic Church, 114 Lindberg Avenue, Johnstown , PA 15905, In memory of Albert A. Simanski.
