Austin Nicholas Ganzy, 20, of Westmont passed away suddenly December 23, 2025. He was born December 28, 2004 in Johnstown, the son of the Very Rev Dr. Alexander Ganzy and Matushka Kerry (Gregory) Ganzy. He is survived by his brother Ethan Ganzy, and sister, Kyra Ganzy. With deep love and remembrance, we share the passing of a remarkable 20-year-old whose life, though far too short, was filled with warmth, joy, and an infectious love for the simple pleasures that make life sweet.Born with Down syndrome, he met the world with an open heart and a spirit that taught everyone around him how to slow down, laugh more often, and appreciate each day. His smile could light up a room, and his presence made ordinary moments feel special.
He had a lifelong love of pancakes—especially when shared with family—and never turned down a slice of pizza. Country music was always close to his heart; its melodies brought comfort, happiness, and sometimes an impromptu dance which drew smiles from everyone nearby.
He is survived by a family who cherished him beyond words and by a community forever changed for the better by having known them. His legacy lives on in shared breakfasts, favorite songs on the radio, and the countless hearts he touched simply by being who he was.
Funeral services are private and entrusted with the Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown, PA 15905
