Barbara A. Krieger

Barbara A. Krieger, 86, of Westmont, died on October 4, 2021 in Johnstown. She was born on September 27, 1935 in Johnstown, daughter of Leo and Olga (Brezovec) Beltz.

Preceded in death by her parents, daughter Barbara, son Thomas A., son-in-law Larry Gebhardt, and her longtime companion Leroy "Bud" Bair.

Survived by children, Brenda L. Krieger; Sandra K. Gebhardt; Ronald W. Krieger married to Kerstin; and Jeffrey B. Krieger; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Michele Jacoby (Tony Berger) and  son Trevor, who was special to her heart;

Brandy J. (Daniel Smith) and her children Brooklyn and Isaac; Abigail Jacoby; Heaven (Justin Bourgeois) and her children Nicholas and Nathan; Summer (Henry Griffin) and her children Henry, London, and Benjamin; Ronald Krieger; River Krieger; Sandra Krieger; J.J. Krieger (Julia). Also survived by many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Barbara graduated as Valedictorian from Richland High School. She was the owner of The Greater Johnstown Speedway, off Engbert Road and RB Krieger Amusements. She drove school bus for special need's children at McIIwain's, and sold Avon products.

Barbara was a an extremely talented sewer. She made countless hand-sewn items that she would sell at crafting shows. Every item Barbara made was beautiful and hand-crafted. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, and always was lending a helping hand to her neighbors.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be sadly missed.

Friends received from 4-8 PM on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at the Funeral Home. Very Rev. Mark S. Begly. Interment to follow at Grandview Cemetery.
