Beatrice Magyar, 97, of Richland, died on May 1, 2023. Born on September 9, 1925, in Johnstown, daughter of Peter and Mae (Tinnirello) Mazzarese.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph Magyar of 60 years, and brothers Samuel, Peter, Charles, John, and Angelo. Survived by children, John Magyar, of Johnstown; Thomas Magyar married to Kathy (Shaffer), of Jennerstown; Joseph Magyar married to Julie (Rutland), of Virginia; and Julie Ann wife of Charles Delusa, of Virginia; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by sister Rose Perry and devoted caregiver LouAnn Mimna.
Beatrice was a loving wife and mother. She adored her family and enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners for them. She took great pride in being a grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was a longtime member of St. Gregory Catholic Church.
Friends received from 5-7 PM on Friday, May 5, 2023, at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday at the Funeral Home. Fr. Callistus Elue. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
