Bernice Mindala, 87, of Westmont, died on September 13, 2021. Born on April 5, 1934 in Johnstown, daughter of Michael and Theresa (Lesko) Roscoe.
Preceded in death by parents, husband George Mindala, daughter Carol Mindala, sister Jean Venet.
Survived by daughter Denise Urban wife of James, of Johnstown, nephews Joe Venet, of Johnstown and Daniel Venet, of New Jersey. Also survived by other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was a devoted wife and mom who took care of her husband and daughter Carol, who both had Huntington’s disease and eventually succumbed to the disease. She loved her dog Max and the deer that would visit her yard.
Bernice enjoyed bowling, swimming, and sailing with her husband.
While at McCullough Place she could be seen with her precious cat Prince who brightened her days. Her daughter wishes to express the appreciation to all the kind and caring staff at McCullough Place who made her mother’s life comfortable and surrounded her with love.
Friends will be received from 9:30-10:30 AM on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday at Our Mother of Sorrows. Very Rev. Mark S. Begly. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
