Carol A. Harnish

Carol A. Harnish, 66, of Southmont, passed away unexpectedly on March 1, 2022 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. She was born September 26, 1955 in Johnstown, the daughter of Charles and Dorothy (Canny) Ellis. Preceded in death by her parents and her mother-in-law Pauline Harnish. Survived by her loving and devoted husband of 39 years, Paul Harnish; brother David "Doc" Ellis; brother-in-law Martin Harnish and his wife Karen; aunt Eileen Ellis of Stuart, FL; She was affectionately known as "Aunt Carol" to her numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. 

Carol was a 1973 graduate of Bishop McCort High School and retired after 30 years from GTE/Verizon. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, shopping, family vacations, and her feline fur babies past and present. 

Friends and family will be received from 2-5 PM on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905. 

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM at St. John Gualbert Cathedral, Fr. James F. Crookston. Private entombment, Grandview Mausoleum. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Hospital at www.stjude.org or to the Cambria County Humane Society, 743 Galleria Drive Ext, Johnstown PA 15904 in memory of Carol. 

The family would also like to extend their appreciation to the staff and nurses of the Intensive Care Unit of Ashman 6 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center for their care and compassion.
