Daniel Joseph Buchan, 57, formerly of Johnstown, died on December 8, 2022 in Carlisle, PA. Born on August 31, 1965 in Johnstown, son of the late John J. and Catherine Ann (Simunich) Buchan.
Survived by his brothers Jack Buchan (Tami), and Tom Buchan, sister Christine (Larry DeFrances), loving nieces Sara, Alison, Lindsay, June and Rowan, and loving nephews Dan, Jordan, and James.
Dan was a graduate of Bishop McCort Catholic High School and Dickinson College, where he was a member of the Chamber Choir.
He was an expert on Apple and Macintosh computers and operating systems and was employed by Dickinson College as a computer consultant for the faculty.
Dan spoke German fluently, and visited Germany on many occasions. He enjoyed photography, sang with the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra, and loved classical music.
He will be sadly missed by his family.
Friends will be received from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM on Friday, December 16, 2022 at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905. Funeral Mass will follow at 12 Noon at Our Mother of Sorrows, Very Rev. Mark Begly. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
