Daniel C. Goncher Sr.

Daniel C. Goncher Sr., 68, of Richland, passed away surrounded by his loving family on August 5, 2022, at Allegheny General Hospital. Born April 12, 1954, in Johnstown, son of Francis and Rosemary (McLaughlin) Goncher.  Preceded in death by his parents, brother Mike Goncher, brother-in-law Carl Berkey, in-laws, Alfred and Josephine Daniel.

Survived by his loving wife of 47 years Jeannine (Danel) Goncher, sons Daniel C. Jr., married to Kelly (Kohler), and Ian, married to Ashley (Meyers), granddaughters Avery, Allyson, Olivia, and Lucy, brother Tom married to Mary Jane, sisters in law Linda Jo Berkey, Lisa Danel-Smith, married to Stuart Smith, and Laura Faye Hood, married to Gary Hood, also numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, Mike Grattan who was like a son to him, and his faithful cat, Charlie.

Danny was a 1972 graduate of Richland High School and graduated from Mt. Aloysius College with Honors. He retired from Health South Rehabilitation Hospital. Danny was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who loved spending his time with his granddaughters.

Danny was a volunteer for the Needy Children Shopping Tour for many years. He loved music and was an avid sports fan.

At his request, all funeral arrangements will be private and entrusted to Frank Duca Funeral Home, East Hills Chapel and Crematory, 404 Walters Avenue, Johnstown PA 15904. Interment St. Michael Cemetery.
