David William Dishong, 65, died on January 15, 2025 in Conemaugh Hospital in Johnstown, PA. Born in Johnstown on November 24, 1959, to Donald and Meriam (Harvey) Dishong. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Janette (Dishong) Main.
He is survived by his life companion, Anne Doyka and her sons (Zack, Rick, and Sam); sister, Kim Hunt (Dave); former wife, Kim (Carney) Dishong, and their three daughters, Justine Suz, Kristy Meyer (George), and Aleah Cavanaugh (Tyler). David is also survived by four grandsons, several nieces and nephews, step-sisters and brothers, uncles and an aunt, cousins, and friends.
Dave graduated from Johnstown High School in 1977, where he was happiest participating in the Marching Band. He retired from Neopost after several health issues including a kidney transplant, but continued to participate in a favorite duck pin bowling league for many years.
No viewings or services are scheduled. A private scattering of ashes will take place in the Spring.
