David A. Himlin Sr., 85, of Westmont, died February 3, 2026 in Johnstown. He was born December 6, 1940 in Johnstown, son of William S. and Alice Irene (Mallory) Himlin.
Preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Rebecca (Lees); his son, Justin; his daughter-in-law, Kimi; 8 brothers and sisters; and his wife, Mary (Petro).
Survived by his sons, Aaron and David Jr. married to Christine; his grandchildren: Paige m/t Josh Mcclelland, Allison, Tyler, Emma Himlin; his great grandchildren: Maverick, Aven, and Arla; his step grandchildren, Madalyn, Samantha, Lia, Hailey, Amaya, and Shaun; his brother-in-law, James Petro; and his sister-in-law, Jenifer.
Dave was a 1959 graduate of Johnstown High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1959-1961. He began his police career in Conemaugh Township, continued with the City of Johnstown, and then West Hills in 1969.
Friends received from 10:30 AM.-12:30 PM on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at the Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd., Johnstown.
A Military Honors service will begin at 12:30 PM at the funeral home by the Marine Corps League, Conemaugh Detachment #287.
Interment at Grandview Mausoleum.
