David Swope Obituary

David Clair Swope, 71 of Johnstown, PA, formerly of Bridgeton, NJ, died November 17, 2022 at home. Born May 22,1951 in Altoona PA, son of Clair and Isabel (Maloney) Swope.

Preceded in death by his parents, son Jeremy and sister Cathy.

Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 47 years Sharon (Holt), daughter Lindsay Swope, granddaughter Lillianna Crespo (Taz Crespo), grandson Jesse Swope, and great granddaughter Tatum Swope, sisters and brothers Gaile married to Richard Krumenacker,  Deborah married to Denis Murphy, Gerald Swope, Patrick Swope (Marie), Donna Cordrey, Michael Swope, Janice Chicarell, and faithful companion Mia, brother-in-law John Holt, sisters-in-law Laura Christiana, Darlene Cutshaw, and several nieces and nephews. Also survived by Adele Rode, significant other to Jeremy Swope and mother of grandchildren Jesse Swope, Steven, Logan, and Christian Rode. 

He was a 1969 graduate of Parma High School in Ohio, and retired from Dupont Corporation after 30 years in New Jersey.

Friends received from 2-4 PM Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Frank Duca  Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. 15905.
