Dennis M. Hammers, 64, of Johnstown, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2020 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.

Born May 14, 1956 in Johnstown, son of Michael and Dorothy (Mitnik) Hammers.

Preceded in death by his father.

Survived by his mother, Dorothy J. Hammers, sister, Kathy (Paul) Carpenter, sons, Michael (Brandi) Hammers and Dennis (Julie Nicolai) Hammers, grandchildren, Lucas Hammers and Allie Mort. He will be lovingly missed by his longtime partner, Diane Taylor, cat Lily, extended family, Melissa (Matt) DiPlacido and their children Luke, Annie, and Kate, all of Cranberry Twp, PA, and Eric Taylor of SC.

Denny was a graduate of Johnstown High School, Class of 1974. He was a former employee of Westmont Hilltop Recreation Commission. Denny and Diane loved traveling to the Jersey Shore, working in their yard and gardens, and just spending time with each other.

Dennis loved his children Michael and Dennis and grandson Lucas so much. Every night you could expect to get a text from him telling you good night and that he loved you. That will be missed deeply.

Honoring the wishes of the family, services will be private.
