Dennis Washabaugh

Dennis Washabaugh, 72, of Johnstown, PA,  died July 29th, 2025 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family, after a 5-year battle with cancer. He was born February 4, 1953 in Johnstown, son of William and Jennie (Longsinger) Washabaugh. 

Preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: Donald, Robert, Ronald, Richard; his sister, Genevieve; and his son, Brian McClain.

Dennis is survived by his loving fiance, Donna McClain.  Children: his daughters, Kim married to Jack Augustine, and Tammy Foust and significant other Joseph Barefoot; his sons: Kevin McClain married to Christina, and Neil Filimonov and significant other Stacy Middler; Sisters: Janet Lamison, Patrica Lester, Nancy McDannell, Karen married to John Feathers, and Virgina Kist; Grandchildren: Kayla Foust and significant other James Updyke Jr., Trista married to John Ramzy, Ronnie Havyer, Megan married to Dylan Snedden, Courtney McClain and significant other Brett Fockler, Katelynn married to Mike Kasuba, Alexandria married to Tyler Wagler, Kaycee Faye, Neil, Chelsea, Justina, Kierstyn, Gavin, and Darius.  Great-grandchildren: Mason Updyke, JJ Ramzy, Ben, Carson, Jacks, Mia, Simon, Stella, Hayden, Navee, and Kai.  Former wife, Virginia Filimonov Snell.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Dennis was a hard working man who spent a lot of his life doing construction and painting. He was not afraid to get his hands dirty, and always gave 100% to whatever job was in front of him. He often helped friends and family with projects, always paying close attention to details. 

Friends will be received from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Frank Duca Funeral Home, East Hills Chapel and Crematory, 404 Walters Ave Johnstown, PA 15904
