Dianne Lee Martz, 82, of Upper Yoder Township, entered into eternal peace at UPMC Shadyside on the 23rd of August 2023. Born on the 31st of August 1940 in Johnstown, daughter of Peter and Helen Bellack.
Preceded in death by parents, husband Donald Martz, son Robert Martz, daughter Janice Martz Riek and special Aunt Ann Sakmar. Survived by daughters Debora Martz Clauson (Douglas) Bemus Point NY, Pamela Martz Torchia (Patrick) Ligonier PA with whom she resided at times, daughter-in-law Jean (Usnik) Windber PA, son-in-law Raymond Riek and brother Gary Bellack (Suzanne Hockycko) nephews Scott, Steven, Michael and Kevin Bellack. Dianne has seven grandchildren, Tyler Clauson (Gina Ferrentino), Ohio, Bria Clauson, Jenna Clauson both of NY. Natalie Riek, Dustin Riek. Amanda Martz Chappell (Bruce) and Thomas Martz (Kristine Deprey) all of MD. Also, ten great-grandchildren, Kade, Logan, Julianna, Janice, Liam, Zea, Alexei, Evelina, Mackenzie, Madeline. She had a very close relationship with cousin Dana (Berteotti) Granito and her husband Tony of Bridgeville PA.
In 1958 Dianne graduated from Greater Johnstown High School. She was a former employee for Upper Yoder Twp. As a mother, Dianne was a natural at parenting and extended that love to the generations that followed. Her cheerful and positive attitude did not escape notice and as a result acquired her many friends. Gardening and reading were some of her favorite pastimes. She will be remembered for her sparkling personality, kindness, and generosity. Her final weeks were spent with her family at her side as she was truly loved. Her life was a gift and a blessing from God and she will be truly missed by family and many friends.
To the many friends, family, neighbors, and medical personnel, the family extends our sincere thanks and gratefulness to all and Dianne appreciated every one of you.
Those wishing to pay tribute to this wonderful woman will be received from 3 to 7 pm on Monday the 28th of August at the Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905 with Funeral Mass at 1:30 pm on Tuesday the 29th of August at St. Clement Catholic Church, 114 Lindberg Avenue. Very Rev. James F. Crookston. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
