Donald R. Gnagey

Donald R. Gnagey , 92, of Westmont, went to be with the Lord on September 15, 2020 at home. Born July 23, 1928 in Somerset, son of Dalton and Hazel (Koontz) Gnagey.

Preceded in death by his parents, and loving wife of 65 years, Betty (Reesman).

Survived by son Michael married to Wendy (Warshel); daughters Cynthia Watkins and Kathy wife of Dr. William Carney; grandchildren Matthew (Cara), Michael (Hannah), Jill (Matthew Pulford), Chris Gnagey, Katlyn (Dan Golias), Donald Watkins (Shea), Brittany (Chris Campagna), Bradley (Kaitlyn), and Bethany Carney; great grandchildren Wyatt Gnagey, Ramsay Watkins, Noah Golias, Tyler Pulford, and Laikyn Gnagey.

Don was a 1946 graduate of Somerset High School, and received his Bachelor's degree from Juniata College. He earned his Pharmacy Degree from University of Pittsburgh. Don was an Army Veteran. He established Westmont Rexall in 1953; he owned and operated the pharmacy for over 60 years. Don held his Pharmacy License until  he was 90 years old. He was a founding member of Indian Lake Golf Club and enjoyed spending time at Indian Lake with his family. He was an avid golfer and train enthusiast. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be sadly missed.

Don was a longtime member of Westmont Church of the Brethren where a private service was held for the family  on September 17. Entombment, Grandview Mausoleum.
