Donald W Morse, 66, of St. Petersburg, PA passed away at home January 30, 2026 with his wife, daughter and grandkids by his side. He was born in Hollywood, CA on February 25,1959.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents; Maryann/Marvin Rudd and Clyde Morse, also his sister and brother in law Debra/Jim Grubb.
He is survived by his wife Tammy Morse of 33 years, and their daughter Christina Kanizer, 31 of St Petersburg, PA and her four children whom were Dons motivation for living, Brandon, Hunter, Dash and Raven. He is also survived by his 3 sons; Nick(Anna) Morse, of Temple, TX with their children Anna-Marie, Isabelle, Elijah and Eleyna, Donny(Mandy) Morse, of Nolanville, TX with their children Gage and Mavis and Josh Morse of Nebraska and his son Dominic Morse. While he never got to spend time with them much or their kids, he prided himself on all the highlights he got to see through social media. Donald also is survived by his two siblings, that I know he wished were more involved in his life, Mark(Martha) Morse of Orting, WA and Mike(Yvette) Morse of Lafayette, IN .
Donald was an active member in the US Army starting in August of 1976 and carrying out his term until medically discharged in April of 1990, after the injuries of the military, Don picked up a career of driving semi and worked with the stutzmans for many years.. driving semi was something he thoroughly enjoyed and always made sure to sneak his daughter on trips to see new places and collect every pen we could across the US. Once don fully retired from driving truck due to medical issues he started to focus his days on the local bigfoot hunters and ufo stories. He was an avid Bigfoot believer and even got to receive a signed book his daughter got him from a meet and greet with Stan Gordon himself, he never stopped talking about that day.
When he wasn’t researching bigfoot, you could find him with a cinnamon roll or PB & J and ice cream judging all the kids trick competitions and refereeing their arguments while his steelers played in the background. He was quiet until you talked down on his guys on that field, he knew every play and statistic the steelers have ever implemented.
One thing Don never failed to do was make you feel loved and make you stop to come give him his hug and kiss. I know my Mother and I will deeply miss those 3am wake up calls for a PB & J, coffee and some good conversation. And for anyone that didn’t know, the man lived off coffee… He didn’t know what water was unless you’re filling the coffee pot with it!
My mother and I have decided to wait until their anniversary to have his burial so details will come at a later time to all those that would like to pay respects, we are looking at June 13th for his service and burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
