Donald W. Taylor, 95, of Johnstown, died on April 30, 2024 at Arbutus Park Manor. Born on May 21, 1928 in Nanty Glo, PA son of Edward and Rose (Conner) Taylor.
Survived by his loving wife Lucille (Distefano) Taylor, step-daughter Kathy Tarpley (Matt), son-in-law George Stiffler, niece Jacquie Amirantz, nephew Scott Valeri, step-grandson Jack, grandchildren, Jennifer, Tiffany, David, Donald, great-grandchildren Kaitlynn, Taylor, Melissa, Dane, David James, and great-great grandson Grayson.
Preceded in death by his parents, first wife Blodwyn (Young) Taylor, daughter Nedra (Taylor) Stiffler, son David Taylor, grandson Matthew Stiffler, sisters Pamela (Taylor) Valeri and Evelyn (Taylor) Bruno, brother Jack Taylor, and brother-in-law Samuel Bruno.
Donald was a graduate of Johnstown High School and completed an insurance course through Penn State Extension School. He worked with Nationwide for 30 years before retirement. Donald was an avid golfer, bowler, and enjoyed traveling, in addition to dancing with his wife Lucille. He was a long-time member of Windber Country Club and Berkley golf course.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
