Donna Jean Ziants

With great sadness we regret to announce that Donna Jean Ziants of Alexandria, VA died on October 27, 2023 at the age of 81.

She passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness. She was born on October 8, 1942, to Walter J. and Winifred Campbell in Johnstown, PA.

She graduated from Johnstown Catholic, now Bishop McCort High School, in 1960. She married the love of her life, Richard, in April of 1966 and moved to her new hometown of Alexandria, VA. She began her career as a Dental Assistant and through her hard work and dedication rose the ranks to be the trusted Business Manager of the dental practice. She and Richard were blessed with a son, David, in 1983. She was blessed with a love of faith, laughter, and family. They were longtime Parishioners at St. Louis Catholic Church in Alexandria.

She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Winifred, and her sister Mary Ellen Adams.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Richard, her son David (Alexia), grandson Alexander, her sister Rita Campbell, her nieces Jane Fatula, Patti Melvin, Carol Miller, her nephew Jim Adams, and their children. 

A Memorial Mass will be held November 11, 2023 at St. John Gualbert Cathedral in Johnstown, PA at 10:00 AM. Fr. Matthew Baum.

Interment to follow at St. John Gualbert Catholic Cemetery.
