Edwin C. Boyer III (Chip) died peacefully at 79 years old in May 2026.
He will be terribly missed by his daughter Heather, Son-in-law Matt McGinnis and two Grandchildren Morgan McGinnis and Brogan McGinnis who lovingly called him Pop-Pop.
Chip was born in Johnstown, Pa where he spent his childhood hunting and fishing with his Paternal Grandparents and enjoying the seashore of Stone Harbor, NJ with his Maternal Grandparents.
He graduated with a BS degree in Business Management and had a successful career. During College Chip met and married the love of his life - Mary Lou Sterrett - and shared a blissful life until her death in 2024.
He retired to South Florida where he spent much of his time on his boat fishing or Scuba diving.
Chip is preceded in death by his wife – Mary Lou Boyer, Parents – Edwin and Barbara Boyer and Brother William Boyer.
He will be sadly missed by his brother and sister. Robert Boyer (Joann), Deborah Boyer Graves (Steven), Cousin Phil Strand (Libby), nieces Mandy Kennedy (Ron) and Brita McGrath (Shaun) and five Great Nieces and Nephews.
Chip was a quiet and unassuming man who anyone could count on. His toolbox was always handy, and he would enthusiastically help with any project that was underway.
His family and friends all consider it a privilege to have known him,
