Evelyn (Rash) Tarris

Evelyn (Rash) Tarris, 97, Westmont, passed away on May 15, 2025. Born May 4, 1928 in McKeesport, PA to Andrew and Susan (Horchar) Rash. Preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Catherine (Rash) Denas and Anna Rash.

Survived by Joseph, her husband of 75 years; daughter, Barbara Young, Westmont and son, Joseph (Rosalie) of Hummelstown, PA; grandchildren, Christopher Michael (Cailin), David Raymond and Michael Joseph (Heather); and great-grandchildren, Logan Patrick, Parker Raymond, Connor Joseph, Walter Joseph and John David. Evelyn loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and they will miss her.

During her life, Evelyn also enjoyed golfing, bowling and playing bridge with her husband and friends. She was a member of the Memorial Hospital Junior Auxiliary for many years and volunteered countless hours at the Johnstown Flood Museum and the Incline Plane Welcome Center.

Evelyn was a member of Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church for over 60 years.

At her request, there will be a private service at Frank Duca Funeral Home with interment at Grandview Cemetery.
