Frances Lee Banda "Bubba", 91, of Johnstown, died on May 1, 2021 at Laurelwood Care Center.
Born on March 29, 1930 in Johnstown, daughter of Robert and Susan (Caruso) Coleman. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Victor Banda, and daughter Victoria Lee Shuhayda.
Survived by son Douglas Banda, married to Lois (Mardis), of Hollsopple; daughter Mary Lee, wife of Russell Parley, of Johnstown; grandchildren Ronald Shuhayda (Krysten), Matthew Shuhayda (Allison), Christilee (Mark Johnson), Anna Marie (Joel Meyers), Steven Banda, Toni Lee (Terry Gray), and Jamie Burke (Nikki); great grandchildren Joey, Alan, Maggie, Max, Kylie, Sam, Sophie, and Blakelee; significant other of daughter Victoria, Bruce Dillon.
Frances retired from Bestform as a seamstress and also worked at the Little Shop in Conemaugh Hospital and at D & B Notary. She was a longtime member of St. John Cathedral, where she volunteered for various functions. She loved cooking for her family, playing cards, doing puzzles, and old school wrestling. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be sadly missed.
Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Her Life at 4:00 PM on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905. Fr. James Crookston. Friends received from 5-7 PM, following the Celebration of Life.
Private family interment at St. Anne's Cemetery, Hollsopple PA.
