Frances C. Mondi

Frances C. Mondi, 88, of Johnstown, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on June 6, 2025. She was born in Masontown, Pennsylvania on October 30, 1936, daughter of the late Steven and Mary Biskup.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Sr. (2015) and infant son, Richard.

Survived by her children: Anthony Jr. married to Carol (Kris), Michael married to Deana (Filia), Cynthia wife of Michael McClain, and Valerie wife of Eric Strosser; her grandchildren: Michael (Hannah), Heather (Ted Corson), Katelyn (Reggie Hainesworth), Matthew (Brian McClain), Steven, Ben (Bethany), Nick, Giavona, and Dominica; and her great grandchildren: Kylie, Jayden, Amina, Damiona, Alivia, Sienna, Arya, Gianna, Capri, and Ashton.

Fran retired as head cashier from Bi Lo Foods after 35 years. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing cards. She was a member of the Moxham PNA. She enjoyed cooking for her family, especially on Christmas Eve. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Friends will be received 3:00 pm-7:00 pm on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd.

Fran was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, V. Rev Matthew Baum. Interment to follow at St. Anthony Cemetery, Geistown.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Frances Mondi.
