Gail Y. Heeter

Gail Y. Heeter, 85, of Westmont Borough, passed away on September 30, 2023. Born on May 2, 1938, in Fish Creek, Wisconsin, the daughter of Marvin H. Sr. and Odelia L. (Reinhard) Zoerb.

Preceded in death by parents, husband Curtis R. Heeter, and pets Tina and Tara.

Survived by brother Marvin H. Zoerb, Jr. and his wife Edith, niece Lynne and her husband Brett and family, nephew Marvin Zoerb III and family, all of Georgia, special niece and nephew Larry and Debbie Stinson, special friends Dave and Debbie Birch, Cathy and Tim Leech, who all worked together to care for Gail in her final days.

Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Gail was a 1956 graduate of Kewaunee High School, Kewaunee, Wisconsin, and attended Manatee Junior College, Bradenton, FL.

She was formerly employed by Higgins Real Estate, Palmetto, FL, Johnstown Personnel Agency, Johnstown, PA, former recording secretary for the Greater Johnstown Water Authority, and retired as the Municipal Administrator for Westmont Borough after 46 years of service. She was a Member of Cramer United Methodist Church and Anna L. Windolph Chap. #495 Order of Eastern Star.

Gail enjoyed crafts, gardening, reading, playing piano, making and collecting angels, the Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers, but most of all her career at Westmont Borough. In her Honor, the municipal complex was named the Gail Y. Heeter Municipal Office Complex.

At her request, there will be no viewing. A private inurnment will be held at Richland Cemetery.
