Georgia J Farabaugh

Georgia J. Farabaugh, 90, of Westmont, died peacefully at home October 11, 2024 in Johnstown PA.  Born January 27, 1934 in Summerhill PA, daughter of William P. Jones and Rosanna (Plummer) Jones.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband John, in 2013, sisters Mary Jean Jones, Claire Frances, wife of Norman Arthur Lysinger, Theresa Arleen, wife of William H. Batzel, brothers A. Vernon Jones and wife Jane, and Dennis Carl Jones. Georgia was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She is survived by special nephews and nieces, William Lysinger (Robin), Claudia Lysinger, William Batzel and wife, Rosemary, Thomas Batzel and numerous nieces and nephews near and far. Georgia graduated from Adams-Summerhill High School and began her 30-year career with L. Robert Kimball Architects and Engineers. She was known to be a loving, caring, and generous daughter, sister, aunt, neighbor, and friend and will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.  

The family would like to thank Penn Hospice Nurse, Patty Paul, and health aide, Nichole Pastirko for their care of Georgia during her illness.

Georgia was a long-time, dedicated member of Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church where Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. Fr. Mark S. Begly, Celebrant. Friends received from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Frank Duca Funeral Home. Inc. Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd, Johnstown PA 15905.
