Gerald Wayne Yusko

Gerald Wayne Yusko (Wayne), 86, of Portage passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on May 21, 2024.  He was born in Croyle Township on September 30, 1937, son of the late George and Ethel Platt Yusko.

Wayne was a 1955 graduate of Portage Area High School, and a faithful member of Hollidaysburg Orthodox Presbyterian Church.  Wayne served in the United States Army and Army Reserves for six years.  He retired from Lehman Machine after a 47-year career.  Wayne enjoyed the outdoors, motorcycling and travel.  He was known for his ability to build or repair anything utilizing his vast metal and woodworking skills.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Audrey, his brother Glenn of Portage, PA, daughter Amy (Patrick) Riley of Johnstown, PA, and grandchild Cora Riley of Johnstown, PA.  Wayne was preceded in death by son Jeffrey, and brothers George and Charles.

Visitation will be Friday, May 24, 2024, from 4-7 PM at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905. 

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 9:30 AM at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Richland Cemetery.
