Hector Sanchez

Hector Sanchez, 92, passed away peacefully in the arms of the Lord on August 31, 2024 at Windber Woods.

Born on September 7, 1931 in Premont, TX, son of Servando and Margaret (Hinajosa) Sanchez.

Preceded in death by his parents, wife Ruth (Ramos) in 2007, brothers Felix, Lorenzo, Juan, Pablo, Fernando, Andy, and George, and sisters Susie and Oralia, and other deceased in-laws.

Survived by children Deborah Sanchez - Meketa and Thomas Hector and wife Beth (Timmeney), grandchildren Michael G. Meketa and wife Sarah (Whitaker), Maria G. Sanchez, Matthew J. Sanchez and Fiance Brianna (Marks), Sisters-in-Law Anita Villarreal, and Evelyn Yurkovich, Brother- in-Law Tom Ramos and his wife Toni Marie (Falcho), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Hector was a US Army Veteran and retired from Bethlehem Steel. He was an avid Pittsburgh Sports Fan, enjoyed family outtings, and traveling to Texas to visit family. He delivered Meals on Wheels for The Johnstown Senior Center.

Friends received from 11:30 AM until time of Funeral Service at 2 PM on Friday, September 6, 2024 at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905. Entombment, Grandview Mausoleum.
