James J Machuta Sr.

James J. Machuta Sr., 71, of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, passed away on December 29, 2025. He was born on September 25, 1954 in Johnstown, the son of Edward J. Machuta and Thelma Iline Hopfer.

 He is proceeded in death by his parents and his sisters, Linda and Mary.

Survived by his loving wife Lucy Jo (Brown); daughter Christy (Hotel); brothers and sisters; Betty, Shirley, David, Eddy, Macy, Richard, Tim, and Tammy. 
 
James graduated from Blacklick Valley High School and spent his life working as an operator at PennDot until he eventually retired. 

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at St. John Gaulbert Cathedral, Fr.  Robert Crooksten, 117 Clinton St, Johnstown, Pa 15901.

Interment to follow at St. Anthony Cemetery,
